Frequently asked questions
Does the daily limit start over each day?
Yes. The reached-limit status resets at local midnight. Your chosen limit and protection stay saved.
Can Tamerly see which apps I choose or how long I use them?
No. The selection is represented by Apple-provided tokens and stored on your device. Tamerly uses Screen Time events to enforce limits; it does not receive your app names or usage history.
What does Parent Lock do?
Parent Lock asks for a PIN before someone can open Tamerly settings. It helps protect settings inside the app, but cannot prevent changes in iOS Settings or app deletion, and it does not guarantee limits cannot be bypassed. For stronger controls on a child’s device, use Apple’s Screen Time passcode and device restrictions too.
Why does Plus support up to 20 apps?
Tamerly currently monitors each app separately to apply an individual daily limit. The app supports up to 20 monitored apps at once.
